Hello from 2P

Our Grade 2 students have made an excellent start to Term 2, returning to school with enthusiasm, positivity, and a strong focus on learning. It has been wonderful to see the students jump straight back into classroom routines and demonstrate such maturity, responsibility, and resilience. They have represented the school proudly through their efforts, behaviour, and willingness to always try their best.

During Week 1, students participated in the swimming program and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to further develop their confidence and skills in the water. The students displayed outstanding focus and effort throughout each session, listening carefully to instructions and encouraging one another along the way. We were incredibly proud of the way they conducted themselves and the positive attitudes they brought to every activity.

Another exciting highlight last term was the Little Legends trip to EMC. Students had a fantastic time participating in a variety of sports activities alongside the EMC students. The day provided opportunities for teamwork, cooperation, and building positive relationships within the wider school community. Our Grade 2 students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and respect throughout the day and should be commended for the way they represented our school.

In Mathematics, students have been working hard across a range of important concepts including place value, addition, subtraction, time, and data. They have been developing their confidence in solving problems, explaining their thinking, and applying their skills during hands-on activities and investigations. It has been wonderful to see the students challenge themselves and continue to grow in their mathematical understanding.
