PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

Staff changes

There will be a number of staff changes for term four.

  • Ms Teagan Boadle will return from family leave from the start of term four.  She will be teaching Physical Education/Health and Food Technology.
  • Ms Caitlin Mullen will be returning to our student counselling and wellbeing team.
  • Mrs Laura Doran will be joining us to teach English from Bellarine Secondary College.  Laura will join our school from the 29th October and up until that time her teaching load will be covered by Ms Clare Cosgrave.
  • Ms Holly Ballard has accepted a position at Tarneit P-9 College and will be leaving Oberon High at the end of term three.

Indonesian Trip

Twenty Year 10 Indonesian Language students and three staff members (Mrs Nicola Maher, Mrs Emma Pritchett and Mr Jake Buchanan) left for Yogyakarta Indonesia on Sunday 7th September and return on Friday 19th September.  I am sure that the group will have a great time immersing themselves in the Indonesian culture and I look forward to hearing about their experiences when they return.

Interim reports

All students/parents will be able to access the interim reports on the school portal from Friday 19th September.

Student/Parent/Teacher conferences

The school has scheduled Student/Parent/Teacher conferences for week one of term four. These will be held on Thursday 9th October, with the school day changed to run from 11.30am – 7.30pm. Parents will be able to make booking appointments via Xuno from Friday 19th September, 4pm and students are expected to attend the appointments with their parents to discuss their academic progress.

Intentions for 2026

If students are not returning to Oberon High School in 2026, can families contact the school and speak with one of the Assistant Principals regarding this.

As this is the last newsletter for term three, thank you to the school community for another great terms work. Enjoy the holiday break, stay safe and I look forward to seeing everyone back for the start of term four which begins on Monday 6th October.
