🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Grade 3–6 Athletics Trials Day 🏅

On Monday 11th August, our Grade 3–6 students took part in the annual Athletics Trials Day. The weather provided the perfect backdrop for an exciting day of competition and participation, with students giving their best effort across a range of the following events:

🏃‍♀️ Sprints (100m, 200m)
🏃‍♂️ Middle Distance (800m, 1500m)
🏃 Hurdles
🦘 Long Jump
✨ Triple Jump
💪 Shot Put
🎯 Discus

The track was alive with excitement, students cheering loudly for their teammates, and showing wonderful encouragement for one another. The sense of community spirit was just as strong as the competition!

Our teachers were impressed with the determination, resilience, and positive attitude shown by all students, whether they were sprinting down the track, leaping into the pits, or powering through the throwing events.

Following the trials, around 60 students have been selected to represent Holy Spirit at the upcoming Ringwood District Athletics Carnival on Monday 1st September, which will be held at the Bill Sewart Athletics Track in Burwood. This is a wonderful opportunity for our athletes to compete against students from other schools, and we look forward to seeing them represent Holy Spirit with pride. 🌟

A huge thank you goes to the staff and parent helpers who assisted in running the events and ensuring the day ran smoothly. 🙏 Congratulations to all of our students for their effort and enthusiasm – you should be very proud of your achievements! 🎉

Our Lunchtime House Activities are in full swing! These fun, friendly competitions continue every Monday lunchtime, rotating between Years 3–6 and Prep–2 students.

A huge thank you to Beck and our amazing House Captains for leading with energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of team spirit. It’s been wonderful to see so many students getting involved and showing their colours with pride!

🌅 Run/Walk Club

Start your Fridays with a burst of energy! Join us on the oval at 8:35am for our Run/Walk Club. Don’t forget:

✔️ Wait at the gates for them to open

✔️ Drop your bag at your classroom

✔️ Head straight to the oval, ready to move!
