Wednesday 3/9 - 4CW

Wednesday 10/7 - 4DF

Wednesday 17/9 - 1KL

Parents are most welcome to stay after mass and have a cuppa in the Parish House.

Winter Appeal

Thank you to our generous families for your donations to our Winter Food Appeal. These items will be collected on Friday the 22nd of August.

Thank you for your support in helping our community.

Laudato Si'

This term many of our classes have been investigating sustainability. One of the seven Catholic Social teaching is Care for our common home. The students have been introduced to Pope Francis encyclical Laudato Si'. Pope Francis reminds us in Laudato Si’ that we are all called to care for our common home, the Earth. As a school community, we are reflecting on how we can live more sustainably—reducing waste, caring for the environment, and making choices that protect God’s creation for future generations. Together, we share the responsibility to be stewards of the world entrusted to us.

Creator God,

You have given us the gift of this beautiful world.

Help us to care for the Earth with love and gratitude,

so that future generations may enjoy its beauty and blessings.

Amen.

Parish News

Congratulations to all the children who made their First Eucharist recently.  The masses were a beautiful celebration.  A big note of thanks to Marianne who prepared the children for this very special occasion, the musicians and anyone else who helped in any way.  And of course, thank you to the parents for all your preparation for your children.

An anointing mass will be held on Wednesday 27th August at 11.00 am in the Church followed by a light lunch.  There is a sign up sheet in both the Church and Chapel if you would like to attend.  We do need to know numbers for catering purposes.  There will be no 9.15 am morning mass on that Wednesday.

The Archbishop’s Campaign is being held this weekend and next weekend.  There are envelopes and brochures around the church and in the foyer.  Please consider donating if you are able.

The Men’s Group will be meeting on Thursday 26th August at 10.00 am in the Parish House.  A group of friendly men who get together every fortnight for a cuppa and a chat.  We invite any other men in the Parish/School to join in for a fun morning.

The Ladies Morning Tea Group will meet on Friday 27th August at 10.00 am in the Parish House.  Guest speaker is Mary Ryan who will share her experience of walking the “Portugese Way”.  So come along, bring a friend and enjoy a social morning.

Blessings from the Parish House Team.
