ITALIAN

What's happening in Italian?

Salve,

Week 5 already!  Here's a snapshot of our past few weeks.

Our Prep students have been strengthening their knowledge of colours and farm animals in Italian. They read colour words and had fun colouring the farm animals according to the instructions. Their efforts were wonderful, and their learning is really shining through.

The Year 1 and 2 students have been exploring riddles about animals. They practised reading and solving riddles as a class, before creating their own riddles for their classmates to guess. The students showed wonderful creativity and enjoyed the challenge.  They did a wonderful job and impressed me with their imagination and growing Italian skills. Bravi!

The Year 3 and 4 students have been exploring Australian animals and learning their names in Italian. They have also been consolidating their knowledge of adjectives, practising how to use them when describing animals. Their efforts have been excellent, and they are making wonderful progress in their Italian learning.

The Year 5 and 6 students have been exploring the definite and indefinite articles in Italian and learning how and when to use them correctly. To practise, they imagined themselves as farm animal owners and introduced themselves and their pets in Italian using the indefinite articles. The students showed great creativity and confidence in their presentations.
