Our latest news and S.T.A.R. students of the Week
Update on Barb
After 28 years of faithful service at our school crossing, Barb has now officially made the decision to retire. We will have an appropriate send off for her later in the year.
She is however hoping to return to our school in a volunteer role so you will still see
her face from time to time.
SAC Update
This month, the School Advisory Council discussed the upcoming School Review, which is broken into two main parts; a compliance-focused part (incorporating the Record of Review and Child Safe Standards), and the School Improvement Plan (focusing on school operations including teaching, management, student and community wellbeing and religious dimension).
The amount of work that Duncan, Donna, the leadership team and the teachers have already put into preparing for the review is mind-boggling. Each area of the review has multiple sub-sections and all require documented evidence.
Further time will be spent during upcoming school closure days to prepare for the review, which takes place in October.
The Council also discussed our 2026 enrolment numbers and will take this information into our upcoming meeting, which focuses on the school’s financial position.
Finally, we spoke about sharing student wellbeing data with the wider school community. We hope this will be actioned in the coming weeks, to give parents greater insight into the trends that our teachers see across different year levels over time.
