Science Experiment

Please ensure that you have given permission for your child to participate in the upcoming Science experiment. Students will be melting chocolate to demonstrate changing states of matter. The experiment is free, you will just need to provide permission for the eating of the delicious chocolate after the experiment! You can find this on Compass.

Healesville Sanctuary Excursion

On Friday 24th May, two bus loads of very excited Year 3 students headed to Healesville Sanctuary to see the Australian animals we have been learning about as part of our Inquiry unit this term.  All the students loved seeing their totem animal, and the Flight Show was a highlight. Special thanks to our awesome parent helpers for the day and a huge well done to our students for their behaviour, listening and positive attitudes!

Shout Outs

On Monday the Year 3 students all got together to listen to the Shout Outs that were being given by teachers and the student council members. We were on the look out for students trying their hardest in class, completing random acts of kindness, trying new things, showing their manners or anyone else that caught our eye! Well done to those students that got a Shout Out this week!

Year 4

Oasis School Camp Recap

We want to extend a thank you to all the parent helpers who made our Oasis school camp at Mt Evelyn such a memorable experience from Wednesday, 8th May to Friday, 10th May 2024. The camp was filled with exciting activities, from hiking and team-building games to campfire stories and adventure challenges. The students enjoyed exploring nature, learning new skills, and making lasting memories.

Upcoming Excursion to the MCG

We are excited to announce our upcoming excursion to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). 

• 14th June - 4ED and 4JS.
• 21st June - 4PS, 4VN and 4CC.

This will be an exciting opportunity for the students to learn about the history and significance of one of Australia's most iconic sporting venues.

Payments for the excursion are now open on Compass. Please ensure you complete the payment process as soon as possible.

Year 3 & 4 - Wear it Yellow: Fundraising for the Children's Ground Organisation

This year VPS is excited to take part in Wear it Yellow day. On Friday the 7th of June students can wear something yellow to school to show their support for creating a bright future for First Nations Children and families. If your child is wearing free dress, they are required to bring a gold coin donation to help this cause. We look forward to seeing the students and staff all dressed up in yellow!
