Acting Principal's Message

We have happily held three transition sessions with our 2026 Prep students; these have been wonderfully successful with our new preps being welcomed by our existing students. These days have included activities to get to know the current grade ones and preps and staff. We are very excited to welcome these students full time next year. 2026 class planning is currently underway and will be communicated when completed.

Lots of events happening in the coming weeks. Please keep checking in on Compass. The grade six day out and graduations are quickly approaching. If you have questions about these events, please reach out to our grade six teacher. I know the students are looking forward to these events.

As we are in term four, just a reminder for students to have their school hats, as well as drink bottles with water. If you need to purchase a new hat, please visit the office. Just also a reminder for students to show our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. As we all get more fatigued, it is extra important to continue to practice good choices.

We are looking to see if we have enough interest to participate in the St Mary's Christmas parade, Friday 5th December. If your child would like to march under the George Street banner and you are available to bring them to the event, please contact the office and leave your child's name with Carly T. If we do not receive enough interest, we will not proceed with the event. Please ensure you let the admin team know by Friday 28th November.

The final day of school will be Friday 19th December. We will look for some student helpers on Thursday and Friday of that week to get tidied up before the end of the school year. If you are planning on your child finishing earlier than this date, could you please contact the office and let us know. That will help us plan for our supervision numbers.
