Team Teach                                                               

During the School Closure Days two weeks ago the staff did Professional Development learning based around the Team Teach program. Some of the topics covered included :

• Creating respectful relationships
• Creating a toolbox of positive behaviour strategies
• Working and effectively communicating between teams

• Restoring and repairing relationships

  It was an engaging and highly beneficial day for all staff.

   

World Maths Day! 

Next Wednesday 25th March it is World Maths Day! Therefore to celebrate this occasion some children from each class will bring to school a game with a Maths focus. Some examples, include : Uno, Connect 4, Cards, etc. If your child is bringing in an activity then please be aware that every measure will be made to ensure its safety, but sometimes accidents do occur! Therefore please don't bring in anything that is too valuable. To celebrate this occasion the Prep - Year 2 students will be together in the MPR from 2.30-3.00 pm and the Year 3 - Year 6 students from 3.00-3.30pm to enjoy some Maths games! 

Mathletics

Congratulations to Aadi Singh 1 / 2 KK who was awarded the Student of the Week Award for Mathletics.  The students who receive Mathletics certificates are recognised at every assembly. If a student receives an award after 2pm on the Thursday before assembly can you please let Mr. James know. The certificates are printed off by this time, therefore if a child has received a certificate after school on that day then it has unintentionally not been acknowledged. Please email me at john.james@sjvparkdale.catholic.edu.au if this circumstance applies to your child in the future. The Student of the Week Award is given to the student who received the most Mathletics points between assemblies. Well done Aadi!
