Term 3 Art Room Update 🎨

It continues to be another busy and creative term in the Art Room, with students experimenting with new materials, developing their skills and bringing some fantastic ideas to life.

Foundation students have been exploring colour, shape, line and pattern through 3D paper bag houses, paper chain snakes and colourful abstract canvas paintings.

Year One and Two students have been busy developing their drawing, design and construction skills through imaginative cardboard robots and portrait work. Year Two students have also been exploring colour, shape and perspective through their colourful agamograph cards.

Year Three and Four students have been busy developing their sculpture and construction skills through a range of colourful mixed-media projects. Year Three students have created fantastic 3D cactus sculptures and portraits with mosaic borders, exploring texture, pattern and the elements of art along the way. Meanwhile, Year Four students have brought colourful woodland creatures to life using paint, papier-mâché and a variety of mixed materials.

Year Five and Six students have tackled some of our most detailed projects this term, designing miniature rooms and creating superhero grid artworks with a focus on proportion, detail and composition.

It has been wonderful to see the creativity, persistence and individual personalities coming through in the students’ work this term.
