Last week, our school community celebrated Bullying No Way Week, with the 2026 theme of “Small Acts, Big Impact.”

Our Student Voice Team did a wonderful job at assembly, sharing the importance of speaking up, looking out for others and recognising that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. In class, students explored the ripple effect and how one positive action can spread from person to person, creating a wider impact across our school community.

All students took part in Kids Helpline’s Largest Anti-Bullying Lesson, along with age-appropriate classroom activities and discussions. These experiences encouraged students to think about how their words, actions and choices can influence others, and how we can all play a part in creating a safe, inclusive and respectful school community.

Thank you to our students and staff for supporting and promoting positive actions that help create a safe, inclusive and respectful school community.

Recently, our Year 5 and 6 students recently took part in an engaging incursion with The Human Development Workshop, focusing on friendships and navigating the challenges that can arise in relationships with others.

Students explored what it means to build positive friendships, understand and accept differences, manage conflict and respond appropriately when things don’t go as planned. They learnt about different behaviours that people can display, using animal characters to help identify and understand these behaviours. Students considered whether each behaviour was helpful or unhelpful and explored what they could do instead when faced with challenging situations.

Through practical activities and discussions, students were encouraged to reflect on their own responses and develop positive strategies for communicating, solving problems, managing conflict and navigating friendships.

It was a valuable opportunity for students to build their understanding of themselves and others, while developing skills to support positive and respectful relationships.
