100 DAYS OF SCHOOL
Our Prep students had the best time celebrating their 100th day of school! It was a special milestone and a fantastic opportunity to celebrate all the learning, friendships and fun they have experienced so far this year. The students enjoyed making and eating delicious fairy bread, singing a special 100 Days of School song and taking part in an exciting scavenger hunt. They also worked together to build towers using 100 cups, using their creativity, problem-solving skills and teamwork to see how high they could build. There were lots of smiles, laughter and excitement throughout the day as the students celebrated reaching this very special milestone. It was a memorable celebration and a wonderful way to recognise just how far our Preps have come in their first 100 days of school. We are so proud of how far they have come!

We’ve laughed, we’ve learned… and lost a glue stick lid or two!

In every lesson, your learning has grown.
Daily Reviews and phonics each day, Helping your brilliant minds find their way.
In maths you've counted, added with pride,
Showing how your skills have grown inside.
In STEM you've explored, created, and tried,
With curious minds as your wonderful guide.
In Health you've learned to care and share,
Making good choices everywhere.
Including others in all that you do,
Showing respect in the way you come through.
In Humanities you've discovered our community too,
And learned about the world and what people do.
As thoughtful learners, you've started to see,
How we all belong in one big community.
With your Grade 6 buddies, caring and kind,
You've shared fun adventures and memories to find.
And let's not forget all the glitter and glue…Who knew teachers could sparkle like you?
Unbelievable progress—it's clear to see,
How far you've come is a joy for me.
With kindness and courage, you've done your best,
Always giving each challenge your very best.
Your spirit and effort have shone right through,
And sometimes you even taught us a thing or two!
So happy 100 Days of Prep, hooray!

Science day
During Science Week, students worked collaboratively to explore, create and learn through a range of hands-on, fun and engaging activities. They enjoyed planting seeds and learning about how living things grow, making their own playdough and experimenting with different textures, and using clay to design and create their own living creatures. These activities encouraged students to share ideas, work together, be creative and develop their curiosity about the world around them. It was a wonderful week of learning, discovery and teamwork.
Mathematics
During Prep, students have been exploring measurement through fun, hands-on learning experiences. They have been learning to compare and describe the length, height, weight and capacity of different objects using everyday language such as longer, shorter, taller, heavier, lighter, full and empty. Students have enjoyed measuring and comparing objects using informal units, as well as making predictions and explaining their thinking. These activities have helped students develop their mathematical understanding while encouraging curiosity, problem-solving and confidence when exploring numbers and measurement.
