The SRC is hosting a food and gift drive to help us leave no one in need this Christmas. Please help by donating food or gifts to create hampers for those in need.
All donations should be taken to the Library and placed near the Christmas tree by Friday 9th December.
We all know Christmas is a time for joy. But for those doing it tough – it is often challenging, heartbreaking and isolating. Last Christmas, The Salvation Army provided around over 64,000 hampers as well as 26,000 gifts to individuals and families in need.
As cost of living increases continue to impact communities across the country, your support is more important now than ever. By collecting and donating food or gifts, you can help us make sure we leave no one in need this festive season.
Need some ideas on what types of items to donate for our Christmas Appeal ?
The holiday season has arrived. Amidst the twinkling lights and joyful melodies, there's an opportunity to delve into a treasure trove of stories, adventures, and knowledge—courtesy of the Nirimba Senior Library.
One of the most delightful aspects of the holiday season is the luxury of time—time to unwind, relax, and explore new worlds between the covers of a book. Whether you seek an adrenaline-pumping thriller, a heart-warming romance, a mind-bending mystery, or an inspiring memoir, the library shelves hold an abundance of choices to suit every taste and inclination.
As the year draws to a close and the festive spirit envelops us, let the pages of a book transport you to lands unknown, evoke emotions untold, and ignite the imagination. Embrace the joy of holiday reading, courtesy of the treasures waiting for you at your local or school library.
Check out some of our newest arrivals and see the staff at the Circulation Desk if you wish to borrow any books for the holiday break.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Nirimba Library Staff.
