What have we been learning about in our Chinese class?

                                                  🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

We have been exploring a range of exciting topics in Mandarin this month. From singing songs and revising the Chinese Pinyin phonics system to working with Fluency Pairs, students across all year levels have been actively engaged in learning the Chinese language and culture through fun, hands-on and meaningful experiences. The highlight of the month was undoubtedly the Dragon Boat Festival, where students enjoyed learning about the history, traditions and cultural significance of this important Chinese celebration.

Dragon Boat Festival

Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most ancient festivals, not only in China but also throughout the world, with a history of more than 2000 years.

Students have learnt about the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival and understand how people celebrate this special day these days.

We had a fun time celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival in Chinese class, with all the year levels. We made paper rice dumplings, dragon boats and balancing an egg to stand up activity. We also had a great time having dragon boat races in class.

Here are some of the fun activities we have done in Chinese class:
