A Child Safe School

Empowering children and young people improves child safety.  Children and young people are more likely to speak up when they feel respected and confident that they will be heard. Children and young people benefit from strong friendships; they often see their friends as their main source of support, information and advice, and will go to them for help.

Our school's wellbeing and peer programs are designed to strengthen relationships among students and their social connections within communities.  Our school has a designated Child Safety Officer who leads programs for students about the school’s child safety strategies.  Our Child Safety Officer and all our staff encourage our students to talk openly and raise concerns about the safety or well-being of their friends.
