R U OK? Day - Thursday 10th September

We had a visit from Piggy and Hamish from the Bendigo Bank on Thursday.  They came to check if everyone at St Pat's was ok!

The students wore yellow and participated in colouring activities at lunch time.  Students also learnt about the meaning behind R U OK? Day during the day.

Wellbeing and Community Partnership Groups

The Mini hands-on group worked hard this week by cleaning out all the organic green bins in each class.  they even made labels for each bin so they don't get mixed up when they feed the chickens.

PBIS

This is our 'School Wide Expectations' regarding behaviour, we refer to it as our 'Behaviour Matrix'

This Matrix is displayed in every classroom at St Patrick's.

The Teachers explicity teach these to the students.

Our PBIS Blitz is:

PBIS Blitz: Looking After Our Sports Equipment

Our sports equipment helps us stay active, have fun, and learn new skills. That's why it's important that we all take care of it.

One way we can look after our equipment is by using it safely. We should always use equipment for its intended purpose and follow teacher instructions.

For example, balls are for playing games, not for kicking at walls, throwing at buildings, or aiming at people.

Another important way to care for our equipment is by keeping it low and under control.

When balls go too high, they can end up over the fence, on the roof, or in places where they might get lost or damaged.

Keeping balls low helps everyone stay safe and means we can keep enjoying our games without interruptions.

We also need to remember to pack equipment away properly when we're finished.

Taking an extra minute to return balls, skipping ropes, bats, and other equipment to the correct place helps keep our school neat and organised.

When everyone helps pack up, equipment lasts longer and is easier to find the next time we need it.

Looking after equipment isn't just about taking care of things. It's also about taking care of each other.

That means we should share equipment fairly and make sure everyone has a chance to join in.

If you notice someone standing alone, invite them to play.

Being inclusive helps everyone feel welcomed, valued, and part of our school community.

Let's remember our PBIS expectations whenever we use sports equipment.

Use it safely.

Keep it low and under control.

Pack it away when you're finished.

Share fairly and include others.

When we look after our sports equipment and each other, everyone can play, learn, and have fun. Thank you for helping make our school a safe, respectful, and responsible place!
