Water Week Competition

Following our incursion from Goulburn Valley Water earlier this term, students were invited to get creative and design a coaster that helps educate our community about practical ways to conserve water.

This week, a representative from Goulburn Valley Water visited our school to select our winners in the F-2, 3/4 and 5/6 categories. Congratulations to Amelia, Jennifer and Indy on their fantastic winning designs!

From here, the major winners will be announced during National Water Week, 19-25 October. We will keep our fingers crossed!

Reading over the holidays

As we head into the school holidays, we encourage all families to continue making reading a special part of their daily routine. Whether it’s reading a favourite story together, enjoying a book independently or sharing a bedtime story, every little bit helps!

Regular reading at home supports students in developing their fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and confidence, while helping them maintain the wonderful progress they have made throughout the term. Even just a few minutes of reading each day can make a difference.

Remember, every time students read at home, they are working towards their next Reading Certificate! These certificates are presented at our school assemblies, celebrating the dedication and effort our students put into developing their reading skills.

We wish all our families a safe, happy and relaxing holiday break, filled with wonderful stories and plenty of opportunities to read, explore and grow together!
