Acting Principal's Message
With Ms Shea Doyle
As we reach the end of Semester 1, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on what has been a full and meaningful few weeks for our school community.

In week 9, Mr McConnell and members of our Year 12 cohort came together for the annual Winter Sleepout. This remains a powerful experience for those involved, providing an opportunity to develop greater understanding and perspective on the very real challenges faced by many people in our community, particularly during the colder months.

Our Winter Appeal has once again highlighted the generosity, compassion, and collective spirit that defines our school community. The incredible volume of donations collected — which will support those in our region who need it most — is a wonderful reflection of our Anglican Identity and the importance of putting faith into action through practical care and service.
It was also fantastic to see our Foundation to Year 8 students embrace Jump Rope for Heart’s Jump Off Day on Monday. Students brought energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of healthy competition to this much-loved event, which continues to be a highlight of our school calendar each year.

A special acknowledgement goes to Year 10 students Lucy Hemming and Callum Lincoln, who have been representing Cobram AGS in Samoa as part of a service-learning experience facilitated by AngliSchools. The opportunity to travel internationally in service of others at All Saints School in Samoa is a privilege, and the school community looks forward to hearing about the meaningful experiences, connections, and learning they have gained from this journey.

Many families may be aware that Mr Willett has been away from school over the past couple of weeks. It is pleasing to share that he is recovering well following recent surgery, and the school community looks forward to welcoming him back at the beginning of Term 3.
To all families, thank you for your continued partnership, encouragement, and support throughout Semester 1. The upcoming break provides an opportunity for rest, warmth, and quality time together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for Term 3, commencing Monday 20 July.
