VIS EXURSION

This week the Elite Performance Program PE students from Years 7 and 8 attended the Victorian Institute of Sport in Albert Park. The students were given a presentation about the different specialised roles that staff do at the VIS, then they were taken on a tour of the facilities. 

The students discussed the sport science areas of exercise physiology and biomechanics and how these relate to the training of athletes. During the tour of the facilities the students were given the opportunity to try out some of the specialised equipment that is used to measure athletes jump strength.
