Positive Partnerships

As we reach the end of a full and rewarding semester, it is an opportune time to reflect on the many moments that have shaped our community in Term 1 and Term 2.

From the Parent Welcome Soiree in January, to a wide range of events across the Semester including Academic Award assemblies, the Year 12 Senior Formal, Italian Immersion, International Woman's Day High Tea, ANZAC Dawn Service, Mum and Daughter Movie Night, Parent/Teacher Interviews, Parent Engagement Evening, alongside Wednesday afternoon CASSSA sport, the opportunities to connect and support have been abundant.

Personally, I cannot forget to mention the Year 7 camp as this was a particular highlight for me, as I watched our new Year 7 students build connections, demonstrate resilience, and create lasting memories not only with their peers but also their Heads of House.

All of these events are pieces of the puzzle that make Mt A such a special place. By attending any of the events it helps shape our school community and character.

Recently, a wider conversation has emerged about what truly keeps teenage girls engaged especially as they navigate the ups and downs of adolescence, with its shifting friendships, growing pressures, and growing sense of identity.

Research increasingly parallels what parents and educators have long noticed: girls are far more motivated when they feel genuinely connected to the adults who guide them, to the peers who support them, and to the broader school community.

The positive partnerships between home and school strengthen our success when working together, where parents play a vital role in fostering positive learning habits, resilience, and a commitment to personal excellence. Alongside the dedicated support of our pastoral, teaching and learning teams, these shared efforts ensure students receive the guidance and encouragement they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Together, we help shape capable learners and young women of integrity who will help shape the future.
