Ponytail Project

Mount Alvernia College will host the Ponytail Project event on Tuesday 21 July.

48 students and staff have registered to 'rock the chop' by donating their hair, and we need your help to reach our fundraising goal of $25,000.

Every year an estimated 4,000 ponytails are needed just to make enough charitable wigs for those suffering from cancer or alopecia. One wig requires 20 ponytails and can cost thousands of dollars. 

By participating in the Ponytail Project, students and staff are not only donating their hair to make wigs, but also raising money for the Cancer Council and people living with cancer.
