What's On in 3/4

Assembly

Our Grade 3/4 JSC Representatives had the fantastic opportunity to lead the whole-school assembly on Friday, 13 June — and they made us proud!

They showed impressive confidence and poise, delivering all announcements clearly and enthusiastically. Their audible and engaging speaking style captured the audience's attention and reflected their dedication and preparation. Congratulations to all of you on a job well done!

Kitchen – Blackburn High School

We were fortunate to have students from Blackburn High School join us last week as part of our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Program.

They participated alongside 34C in their kitchen session, supporting each group and assisting our students in preparing a range of delicious recipes. Their enthusiasm and guidance were greatly appreciated and added so much to the experience. We sincerely thank them for their contribution and look forward with great anticipation to their upcoming sessions throughout June.

Garden Update – Jerusalem Artichokes

Last week in our garden sessions with Ashley, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work! We harvested what felt like thousands of Jerusalem artichokes, then washed, cleaned, and dried them—getting them ready for use in a variety of delicious kitchen recipes.

Our students demonstrated fantastic teamwork and collaboration, working together to complete all the garden tasks with enthusiasm and care. We can’t wait to enjoy the fruits of our labour in the kitchen very soon!

Maths – Pyramid Cities

Last week, 34C took their learning of 3D shapes to the next level! Using their understanding of the attributes and features of 3D shapes, students constructed mini cities made up of triangular prisms and pyramids.

Working in pairs, they showcased creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork to proudly build and display their geometric masterpieces. It was a fun and hands-on way to bring maths to life!

MND Fundraiser – An Inspiring Initiative by Miles, James & Co

We’re thrilled to share the incredible efforts of Miles, James, and their friends in supporting the fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Taking the initiative into their own hands, the group launched a GoFundMe campaign and organized their very own Freeze for MND event over the weekend.

Through their dedication and community spirit, they’ve managed to raise just under $3,000 for the MND Foundation — an outstanding achievement!

We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work, compassion, and commitment to making a difference. Well done, team!
