Important Information

Dear 3/4 Families,

What a busy and rewarding Term 3 it has been! We’ve been so proud to see our students continue to challenge themselves throughout the term. Amazing things can happen when we stay curious, give things a go and open ourselves up to new possibilities! Thank you for your support along the way. We continue to appreciate and value your partnership between school and home. We hope everyone has an enjoyable holiday break and look forward to welcoming everyone back, recharged and ready to go in Term 4!

Be Awesome Day:

Friday 30th October will be our annual ‘Be Awesome Day’! This year, our awesome kids will be running a ‘Show Day’ as part of our celebrations and we welcome you to join in the fun!

In order for our day to be very awesome and super fun, we will need lots of help from our wonderful parent community. The 3/4 Team would love donations for the following items: 

• Individually wrapped chocolates and lollies
• 6 x blocks of chocolate
• hair spray and or hair spray stencils 

What we have been up to  

Upcoming Learning

Over the first few weeks of Term Four:  

• Literacy: Students will explore local issues that affect their everyday lives, using reading and writing activities to connect their understanding of these issues to our Civics and Citizenship Topic unit.
• Mathematics: Students will review and use the four operations to solve problems by using efficient strategies to increase their accuracy when working with numbers and review their understanding of Place Value. 
• Topic: We’ll begin our new Civics and Citizenship unit by exploring democracy, laws, diversity and identity, while discovering how we can all contribute to and be part of our community.
• Respectful Relationships: We will focus on 'Problem Solving'. Identifying what a problem is, learn ways to work well as a team, and identify common problems children may experience together.
