Compass Education is Coming!

Navigating information from Good News Lutheran College (GNLC).

From Term 3 in 2025, GNLC Education will commence a consolidation of platforms to provide important information between home and school.

What is Compass Education?

Compass is a comprehensive school management system that will be used by staff, students and parents across the GNLC community.

Why the change?

We will begin using Compass Education to manage student attendance, academic conferences and publish student academic reports. In addition, Compass Education will also replace our current events management system, known as SignMee. This means that excursion and incursion permissions, event consents and other activity approvals will now be completed directly through Compass.

This centralised approach allows parents to handle all essential functions, such as reporting absences, signing permission slips, booking conferences and viewing reports, in one convenient place, with more features to follow!

Further information on how to use Compass Education will be coming soon, including instructions for all families on how to download an app for mobile devices and how to log in with a username and password to use the system.

Extended Holidays during School Term

Families are reminded that they need to seek written permission from the College Principal to take their children out of school for extended periods of leave during the school term. On taking leave, students need to ensure that they remain up to date with any assessments and show endeavour to complete assessments before taking their leave.
