Obedience Brings Blessings

Obedience refers to behaviour that is respectful and mindful of rules and laws.

As a society, we know that when everyone is respectful in these ways we all benefit.  The same can be said of a school situation.  At Good News Lutheran College, our foundation is in sharing and living the good news of Jesus.  While recognising the brokenness of humanity, we also reflect the unconditional love of the Father, revealed through the saving work of his Son.  There are many layers to support our students to live a life of obedience.  They hear daily that they are intentionally created by a loving God and work together to create an environment in their class and year level where grace, respect, integrity and courage are seen through the agreements they make with each other.  When things go wrong, which they will, attempts are made to restore relationships while still understanding that there are consequences for actions. The IB provides us with the Learner Profiles which articulates the attributes we desire of our students when they graduate from Good News. Working together with families on this is a privilege we take very seriously.

Year 3 Unit of Inquiry Showcase

During Unit of Inquiry, our Year 3 scientists have been exploring how heat moves through different materials and states of matter. They proudly presented their understanding of conduction, convection and radiation through their creative posters and explanations at their showcase. We are so proud of you!

Celebrating Learning Together

The Learning Journal is where student learning lives! The Seesaw journal gives families a window into the classroom and a chance to celebrate and support their child’s progress in real time.

We encourage families to like posts and leave positive comments or voice messages on their child’s work. A kind word or encouraging comment can make a big difference—imagine how excited your child will be to hear your voice during the school day!

Here’s how you can get involved:

❤️ Like a post – Tap the heart at the bottom of the post.

💬 Leave a text comment – Tap Comment, type your message, then tap Post.

🎙️ Leave a voice comment – Tap Comment, tap the microphone, then Record.

Your engagement helps build confidence and strengthen the relationship between home and school.
