Staffing Changes for Term 2

I would like to thank Ms Brough and Ms Ashfield for their time on staff this Term. They both have fit right in and we have been lucky to have such great teachers being able to fill in when necessary. I’m sure we will see them back in the future.

Farewell to Mr Sutherland who will move on to a new position next Term. We are lucky that Mr Walker will return from leave and help Mr Lee and Mr Manser evolve into the Man Arts workshop area.

We also welcome back Ms Stevenson who returns from her Head of Department role at Sunnybank SHS.

Year 10 SET Planning and Work Experience

Please check for email correspondence form this Term regarding Year 10 Work Experience in Week 4. Forms must be returned for students to participate and successfully complete their Short Course in career Education.

Parents/Caregivers will also be contacted early next term to book SEP Plan interviews.

Term 1 Interim Reporting

Term 1 Interim reports have been emailed. These are Effort and Behaviour reports only and provide a snapshot for Term 1. Student assessment results for Term 1 are available on Daymap and will form part of their achievement grade Semester 1 Reports.

Daymap Parent Portal

https://toogoolawahshs.eq.daymap.net/daymapconnect

All parents are reminded of the valuable tool you have in your Daymap account. Simply sign in with the email you provided the school (must be different for each parent/carer). Click ‘forgot password’ and follow the prompts. You can use a computer or download the ‘app’ on your smart phone.

Daymap provides access to:

  • Attendance information
  • Individualised student assessment calendars
  • Calendars of broader school events and excursions
  • Book parent teacher interviews
  • Many staff publish assessment results as soon as they are marked meaning more frequent updates on your students’ achievement than termly reporting.
  • Student Daymap accounts link them to class work, assessment and learning resources and can be accessed from home when absent.
