Toogoolawah Show Team – Droughtmaster Futurity

On 27 February, a group of our students travelled to the Droughtmaster Futurity to take part in the Junior Judging competition and attend a series of educational talks delivered by industry professionals. While we did not take cattle to show this year, the day still provided a fantastic opportunity for students to build their judging knowledge and gain valuable insight into the beef industry.

The Futurity traditionally marks the beginning of our show season, and it was a great way for students to sharpen their skills before the busy months of agricultural shows ahead.

Our students represented the school exceptionally well, demonstrating confidence, knowledge and professionalism throughout the judging competitions. Their efforts were rewarded with some fantastic results across the different divisions:

Peewee Class

🥈 Isaac – 2nd place

5️⃣ Cooper – 5th place

Junior Class

🥇 Dusty – 1st place

🥉 Ebony – 3rd place

4️⃣ Brodie – 4th place

5️⃣ Torie – 5th place

Open Class

🥇 Clancie – 1st place

5️⃣ Katelyn – 5th place

It was fantastic to see students supporting one another and representing our school community with pride. While not all of the students who attended are members of the official Show Team, they are valued members of our school community who share a passion for agriculture and were eager to be involved in the opportunity.

Congratulations to all students involved for their enthusiasm, sportsmanship and outstanding results. With the Futurity marking the start of the season, we look forward to many more shows throughout the year!
