Principal Post

Dear Families,
It is hard to believe that we have only one week to go before the end of term. As we approach this special time of Easter, our school community is preparing in meaningful and creative ways.
Next week, each year level will present a day of Holy Week through a variety of creative expressions. We look forward to beginning with our Grade 1/2 students, who will share their presentation of Palm Sunday at Assembly on Monday. All families are welcome! These experiences are always a beautiful way for our students to deepen their understanding and bring the Easter story to life.
A sincere thank you to all of our families who supported and contributed to our recent Harmony Day celebrations. This special day continues to be a highlight of our school year, celebrating diversity, inclusion, and the rich cultural backgrounds that make up our community.
Andrew is currently at the VACPSP Conference in Lorne and will be returning next week. We are looking forward to hearing about all his new learnings.
We look forward to a reflective and engaging final week of term.
School Carpark
Please remember to show patience and respect when arriving at and leaving school. As adults, we play an important role in modelling the behaviours we expect from our children. For a quicker and smoother drop-off, Kiss and Drop is available at the back of the school.
SRC Staff Meeting
Our SRC students joined our staff meeting on Tuesday to review Child Safety Standard 3 – Empowering children and young people. Together, we explored how and why student voice is so important at SJV, and reflected on the ways we already support this in our daily practice. It was a valuable opportunity to hear directly from our students, strengthen our shared understanding, and continue building a culture where every child feels heard, valued, and empowered.
Sacrament of Penance - First Reconciliation
On Saturday several of students primarily from year 3 made their First Reconciliation as part of the Parish Sacramental program.
We congratulate these students and continue to pray and support them to come to know God's unconditional love. We thank the teachers for attending.
