National eSmart Week

National eSmart Week is an annual event run by eSmart, Australia’s trusted provider of online-safety education and an initiative of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation. It is a celebration of all the great work of schools and libraries nationwide to help students stay safe, smart and responsible online.
Next week, Foundation - Year 4 will participate in a Storytime Session run by the Alannah and Madeline Foundation. These sessions are designed to support students across all year levels in developing respectful, responsible and safe digital behaviours. The featured book, Paws, focuses on the importance of asking for consent before taking and sharing photos of others online.
eSmart is also running a Family Storytime Session (featuring the same story) on Tuesday the 31st of March at 7:00pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and explore important digital safety themes in a fun and engaging way. If you are interested in participating, please register using this link.
Another parent and carer webinar exploring children and young people's digital rights, wellbeing and privacy in an ever changing online world is also being offered during National eSmart Week. This webinar will be run on Wednesday the 1st of April at 6:00pm. If you are interested, please register using this link.
Both webinars are free to attend and resources will be shared with registered participants!
