Congratulations Regional Athletes
A big well done to all our athletes who took part in last Friday’s Regional Athletics. It was great to see our team of eight take to the track and field and do such an amazing job! There were a few nerves but it was great to see our students’ determination, ‘give-it-a-go’ attitude and wonderful sportspersonship towards everyone. Thanks to Chloe, Linda and Lyndal for assisting with the team! Thank you also to the many supporters who managed to come down and support us throughout the day.
Congratulations Division Hot Shots Tennis Teams
Well done to our two teams who represented Buninyong P.S. at the Division Hot Shots Tennis competition at Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre today! It was great to see everyone approach the day with positivity and continue to smile and have fun throughout the whole day. You should all be very proud of yourselves! Thank you to the spectators who made it at various times throughout the day to support us.
Buninyong Lions Club Golf Sessions
Last week, all our Grade 5/6 classes had the opportunity to take part in a golf session with Buninyong Golf Club’s Andrew Cartledge. Students spent the session learning the skills needed to hit the ball, and in the right direction. Whilst the goal posts at the other end of the field were the aim, students had a lot of fun trying out an iron and driver and making connection with the ball.
Thank you to Andrew and the Buninyong Golf Club for running the sessions. A big thank you to the Buninyong-Mt Helen Lions Club for their generous support in using community donations to enable our golf sessions to occur.
P-2 Sports Day 22 October, 2026
Congratulations Henry
A few months ago, Henry (Year 4) participated in a West Ham United Soccer camp in Ballarat and from that program was selected by the coaches to attend the national camp held in September.
During the school holidays he participated in the West Ham United National Soccer Camp at The Southport School in QLD. They had five coaches who came out from the UK to facilitate the program. Henry had a wonderful experience and should be very proud of his achievement in being selected and most importantly, of his attitude, behaviour, passion and effort throughout the camp.
What to bring to P.E.
Just a reminder for all students to bring with them their P.E. shoes, drink bottle (and hats in Term 1+4) to their P.E. classes. A different pair of sports shoes need to be brought (not worn) to P.E. as per the uniform policy. This allows us to keep safe, look after our gym and make the most of our lessons together. Thanks to everyone who continues to remember these.
