Student Voice

Student voice is important at St Mary’s. Through our Student SRC, Whole School Assemblies and within each classroom, students have regular opportunities to share their ideas, perspectives and feedback. Each classroom also has a suggestion box where students can contribute their ideas and suggestions, which are collected and reviewed. This provides another important avenue for students to have their voices heard and contribute to our school community.
At our SRC meeting this afternoon, students will have the opportunity to share their ideas and have a say in our school. These suggestions will then be taken to the leadership team for discussion to consider how they could work at St Mary’s. Students will hear back about the outcomes, helping them see how their voices contribute to our school community.
As a fun way to begin the term, students were asked, “If our classroom had a mascot, what would it be and why?” We look forward to sharing their responses next week.
