Busy and exciting start to Term 3!

Congratulations to our Year 4, 5 and 6 students who proudly represented Salvado Catholic College at the Inter-School Cross Country Carnival held at Tomato Lake, Kewdale, last week. Our students demonstrated incredible determination, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the event. Collectively, their efforts were outstanding, and we are thrilled to celebrate that Salvado has brought the Cross Country Shield home for the very first time! This achievement is a wonderful reflection of the students' commitment, preparation and team spirit. We are extremely proud of every student who participated.

Our Year 3 and Year 5 students have also been working diligently as they complete the annual Religious Education Assessments (REA), a mandated assessment conducted by Catholic Education Western Australia. In addition, Salvado Catholic College was nominated to participate in the Equating Assessments, which are used to benchmark student performance against schools across Western Australia. We commend our students for their focus, perseverance and positive attitude throughout this important process.

The Year 4 students are now well and truly drawing closer to their celebration of the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. Over the past week, students and their families have participated in Parent/Child Workshops, while students also attended their Year 4 Retreat, facilitated by Youth Ministry 24:7. The retreat provided a valuable opportunity for all students to step away from their usual routines, engage in prayer and reflection, strengthen their faith, and enjoy a range of meaningful and fun activities with their peers.

There is certainly no slowing down, for our Primary School Choir with both the One Big Voice Concert and the Catholic Education Arts Festival just around the corner. We were also excited to welcome students and staff from Gwynne Park Primary School as they join us in preparing for these significant events, which will be held at the Perth Arena. These experiences provide wonderful opportunities for our students to showcase their talents, connect with others and celebrate the creativity and spirit of Catholic education.

Thank you to our students, staff and families for their enthusiasm, commitment and support. We look forward to the many exciting opportunities and achievements that the remainder of the term will bring.
