The Kaadadjiny Hub

Welcome to our first Library Newsletter for Term 3! As we begin another exciting term, the library continues to be a place where curiosity is sparked, imaginations flourish, and a love of reading grows. This term promises to be filled with wonderful stories, new book arrivals, engaging activities, and exciting events for students from Kindy to Year 12. I look forward to sharing the many ways our library supports learning, inspires creativity, and encourages every student to discover the joy of reading.
Book Week
The highlight of Term 3 is Book Week and Salvado’s Annual Book Fair. This year’s theme is:
Symphony of Stories –
Where Characters come Alive!
Book week this year is week 5 from Monday 17th – 21st August.
Dress-up Day is Tuesday 18th August.
Book Week's Colour-In Competition is due back on Friday 14th August – to be displayed at the Book Fair all week.
Book Fair is on at various times during Book week (please see email for more information).
Parents, if you would like to help with this year’s Bookfair, please email: Kate.hendriks@cewa.edu.au
for more information.
Languages Week 2026
Languages Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich diversity of languages and cultures within our school community. Every language tells a story, connects us to our heritage, and helps us understand the world from different perspectives.
By celebrating language and culture, we foster respect, inclusion, and a deeper appreciation for the unique voices that make our school such a vibrant place to learn and grow.
Your Library, Your Ideas
The library is more than just a place to borrow books—it's a space for everyone to learn, create, discover, and feel welcome. Because this is your library, I'd love to hear your ideas! If there's a book series you'd like me to add, a display you'd like to see, or an activity you'd enjoy, please let me know. Your suggestions help shape the library into a space that reflects the interests, needs, and creativity of our school community. Together, we can make the library a place where everyone feels inspired and excited to visit.
Till next time, happy reading!
