Book Week in Burnie

Book Week was once again a wonderful celebration of stories, creativity, and a shared love of reading across our school community. This year, the library was transformed into a world of music, creating a whole school symphony of stories. Students contributed their own musical notes to decorate the space, while the circulation desk was cleverly transformed into a grand piano, bringing this year's theme to life.
Our annual Book Week Parade was a highlight, with students and staff enthusiastically embracing the joy of dressing as their favourite book characters. We were especially impressed by the huge number of homemade costumes this year, showcasing incredible creativity and effort. The judging panel, consisting of Miss Goninon, Mrs Kelman, and celebrity judge Mayor Brumby, found it incredibly difficult to choose winners in each category due to the outstanding quality of entries.
A big thank you goes to both Marketing and our amazing Parent Group for organising not only the Scholastic and Koorong Book Fairs, but also a hugely successful Book Swap event. These events provided wonderful opportunities for students to discover new books and share their love of reading with others.
What a joy it was to see our whole school community come together to celebrate books, stories, and imagination in such an amazing way!
Stay Fabulous!
