Primary Student Leader Article

GUESS WHAT…
This term every Friday, we have been doing PIGs. If you do not know what PIGs are they are Personal Interest Groups, where you get to choose a fun activity from the list that the 5/6 students have chosen to lead. Some of them are craft, drawing, sports, cooking, and there is even an escape room.
We do PIGs because we want the kids to have fun trying new things, learning to work with others and enjoying a relaxing Friday afternoon or a fun sporty afternoon.
There are lots of sports groups including AFL, volleyball, ninja/obstacle courses, balls and skills games and outdoor games.
There are also calm groups like craft, drawing, wet felting, cooking, and scratch coding. These are all fun because kids get to have a calming afternoon and everyone gets to choose a group they love.
The Year 5s and 6s have really enjoyed running these fun groups with all the amazing kids.
