Year 10 Work Experience

During Week 9, our Year 10 students stepped into workplaces across Victoria and interstate to complete their Work Experience placements. We were delighted that 100% of our Year 10 students successfully secured a placement this year.

Students were hosted across a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, finance, technology, early childhood education, community services, sport, automotive, and defence. Placements included organisations such as The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne Orthopaedic Specialists, Hawthorn and St Kilda Football Clubs, MEX Engineering Group, and the Defence Work Experience Program at Victoria Barracks.

Work Experience is an important part of our Year 10 Careers Program, providing students with the opportunity to explore their strengths, interests, and future aspirations while developing confidence and valuable workplace skills. As they immersed themselves in different workplace environments, many gained new insights into potential career pathways and the opportunities available to them beyond school.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 10 students and the way they represented themselves throughout the week. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from employers, who spoke highly of our students’ enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to learn.

Thank you to the many families, staff, and employers who supported our students throughout this experience. We pray that this opportunity continues to help them grow in confidence and wisdom as they consider their future studies and career pathways.
