Safety Reminder

Tips for road safety in spring!
We can all recognise that this is a very exciting part of the year - it starts to warm up and there's more daylight, meaning that everyone is more likely to stay outside longer and have increased proximity to roads and traffic.
Spring safety tips:
1. Watch for changing conditions
Spring can bring sudden showers, fog, or glare from the sun. Adjust speed and increase following distance.
2. Check for slippery surfaces
Rain can mix with pollen, leaves, or oil on the road, making surfaces unexpectedly slick.
3. Watch for wildlife
Animals are more active in spring, especially at dawn and dusk.
4. Be mindful of school zones
Many children are walking, cycling, or scootering to school in warmer weather.
5. Wear bright clothing
Spring mornings and evenings can still be dim.
6. Watch for slippery spots
Wet leaves, pollen build-up, and road paint can be dangerous.
