Camp Sunnystones

Year 7 Excursion

In Week 3, our Year 7 students set off for an action-packed day at Camp Sunnystones, eager to take on new challenges, build friendships, and create lasting memories. This special Engagement Day was all about teamwork, resilience, and having fun in the great outdoors—and our students did not disappoint!

Despite the hot weather, they embraced every activity with enthusiasm and determination. From testing their precision in archery, to working together in raft building, and strategizing their way through the survival game, they demonstrated fantastic problem-solving skills and teamwork. One of the biggest challenges of the day was the steep Sunnystones hill, but our students tackled it head-on, showing remarkable perseverance and resilience—an impressive achievement for such a young group!

Beyond the physical challenges, this camp was also an opportunity to develop important life skills. The students displayed excellent behaviour, treating each other and the amazing camp staff with respect, kindness, and gratitude. They stepped out of their comfort zones, encouraged their peers, and took the chance to learn new skills while strengthening friendships.

By the end of the day, there were plenty of tired but smiling faces, with students feeling a well-earned sense of accomplishment. It was a fantastic day filled with laughter, adventure, and teamwork, setting the tone for a great year ahead. Well done to all our Year 7s for their outstanding effort and attitude!
