Throughout the year, Laura and Meayjowk have been outstanding ambassadors for Phoenix House, leading with energy, enthusiasm, and genuine care for their fellow students.

Their teamwork and commitment have helped strengthen the House spirit and create a supportive, inclusive environment for all.

Laura and Meayjowk have set an excellent example for future student leaders to follow.

Congratulations once again to these girls for an outstanding year of service to both the House and the college community.

Dear Phoenix

It has been a pleasure to serve the House this year, as a House Captain. To be the last ever ‘Phoenix’ House Captain is something I hold very dear to my heart. Throughout the year we have had many fun times together and I’m immensely proud to have called this my House. 

To my fellow Phoenix year 12’s, I’m so grateful to have spent this journey with you all and we have become a family over the years. To the teachers, I am so thankful for all the guidance and wisdom I have received over my high school years. To St John’s as a whole, thank you for being such a big part of my life. It’s sad to say goodbye, but it leaves hope for the years to come. I’m grateful to have been given this opportunity and I know the House is in good hands for the coming years.

Dear Phoenix

From the first day I walked through the gates to now, standing on the edge of something new, this community has been my home. 

To the teachers and staff: thank you for your patience, your belief in us, and your constant encouragement. You’ve taught me far more than what’s in textbooks — you’ve taught me how to think, lead, and care. 

To the younger students: enjoy every moment. Get involved, ask questions, and never underestimate the impact of kindness. 

To my fellow Year 12 students, it’s been a privilege to work and grow alongside you. I couldn’t have asked for a better group to finish this journey with. 

And of course, to my Phoenix family — thank you for showing me what it means to rise from every challenge with strength and spirit. Thank you for making this chapter so meaningful. Keep striving, keep believing, and keep that fire alive — in Phoenix and beyond as you become Romero house.
