PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

Welcome back to Term 4.  It was great to see the members of our school community in attendance for the recent student/parent/teacher interviews that were held on Thursday 9th October.  If you were unable to make an interview to discuss the progress of your son/daughter and still wish to do this, contact the teachers through the Xuno portal to arrange a suitable time for a phone call.

Staff changes

As articulated in the last newsletter of term three, we have a number of changes to our staffing for term four:

  • Ms Caitlin Mullen returns from family leave to work in our Wellbeing team
  • Ms Teagan Boadle returns from family leave teaching Health and Physical Education
  • Ms Laura Doran joins the school from Bellarine Secondary College teaching English

Year 12 Celebration Day

Our year 12’s will have their last day at school on Tuesday 21st October which will include a whole school assembly to farewell the students. The year 12 students have done an amazing job this year and for those undertaking VCE exams I wish them well.

Arts/Technology Night

We held our Arts/Technology night on Thursday 16th October.  It was great to see so many members of the school community come to the night to view a range of student work and performances from the visual and performing arts as well as the technology fields.

Intentions for 2026

If students are not returning to Oberon High School in 2026, can families contact the school and speak with one of the Assistant Principals regarding this.

Public Holidays

A reminder that the school is closed on Wednesday 22nd October (Geelong Cup Day) as this is the designated public holiday for schools in Geelong.  School classes will run as normal on Melbourne Cup day.
