From the Principal

Dear Families,

We have had some wonderful highlights in the life of the College over the last several weeks.

Celebrating ANZAC Day, House Cross Country and Mother’s Day were each brilliant moments and I am continually encouraged by our staff, students and parent community who embrace these with enthusiasm.

We have also navigated some challenges such as the traffic flow disruptions, the unavailability of Canvas for several days and shortages on some uniform items. Thank you for your patience in these inconveniences, I have appreciated the many words of support and encouragement as we have worked through these matters.

VCE 2025 Results

In my letter at the beginning of the year, I shared that I would provide a further update to our community regarding our 2025 VCE results. There were, as I mentioned, some exceptional achievements from our students. After having an opportunity to conduct some deeper analysis, the results highlight several opportunities for growth. Specifically, the data points towards a need to lift academic rigour and set higher expectations for our students. As families who entrust your children to our care, you deserve our very best, and we are committed to ensuring that our learning culture reflects this.

2025 NAPLAN Results

Furthermore, our review of the 2025 NAPLAN data has revealed encouraging progress across all areas, with writing emerging as a particular strength. At the same time, the results point to areas where we can continue to improve, and we have already begun implementing strategies to address these needs.

As a result of both VCE and NAPLAN insights, you will notice a renewed emphasis on strong study habits, consistent homework completion and greater accountability for meeting College expectations. This will be a whole-school focus moving forward and will form part of our strategic planning for the next several years.
