School Captains' Address

Hello JMSS community,

As we reach the final week of Term 1, it’s a great moment to pause and reflect on what has already been such a full and eventful start to the year. With the term wrapping up this Thursday, we hope everyone is looking forward to a well-earned break.

Last week’s Year 12 Formal on the 25th of March was truly a highlight. It was fantastic to see everyone come together, dressed to impress, and enjoying a night that will no doubt be remembered for a long time. The energy, the music, and the atmosphere made it a really special evening for all involved.

We also had the opportunity to recognise International Women’s Day within our school community. The teacher panel was a standout, offering a wide range of perspectives and honest insights that sparked meaningful conversations. It was a valuable experience, and a  event for our school, and we encourage everyone to get involved—whether that’s participating, spreading a reminder of the importance of listening, learning, and supporting one another.

Looking ahead, the World’s Greatest Shave is just around the corner. This is always such an importantwareness, or donating. Let’s continue to build momentum and make a real impact together.

As the term comes to a close, we want to thank everyone for their effort, resilience, and contribution to school life so far. Take the holidays as a chance to rest, recharge, and reset, so we can all come back ready for an even bigger and better Term 2.
