6E

By Jonathon Pereira

As 6E prepares for upcoming graduation, we have been taking time to reflect on their primary school journey. As part of their graduation speeches, students have shared some of their favourite memories, important experiences and the many ways they have grown throughout their years at primary school. From making friendships and participating in camps and excursions to celebrating achievements and overcoming challenges, each student has their own special memories to look back on.

It has been wonderful to hear students reflect on the people and experiences that have helped shape them into the confident, capable and caring young people they are today. These reflections have provided a meaningful opportunity for students to celebrate their journey and look forward to the exciting next chapter ahead.

Through class discussions and activities, students considered how the use of literary devices can strengthen a message and influence how it is understood by an audience. This encouraged students to think critically, reflect on their own experiences and make personal connections as they developed their speeches.

As students moved through the planning, drafting and rehearsing stages, they developed their ability to organise their ideas, use expressive and engaging language, and deliver their speeches with confidence.
