Junior School

你 好 (ni hao) Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 families,
What a wonderful final week of Term 2 we have had in Grade 2!
In Literacy, students explored a variety of different types of poetry. We learned about haikus, diamante poems, acrostic poems, and colour poems, discussing the unique features of each style. Students enjoyed reading examples, identifying poetic techniques, and creating their own imaginative poems. It was fantastic to see their creativity shine through their writing.
In Guided Inquiry, we proudly wrapped up our Pollution Solutions unit. To celebrate their learning, students participated in a showcase where they presented the dioramas they designed and built. Each diorama featured a creative solution to help protect our waterways from pollution. Students demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills, innovation, and environmental awareness as they explained their ideas to classmates and teachers. We are incredibly proud of the effort, creativity, and knowledge they displayed throughout this project.
As we finish the term, we would like to thank all families for their ongoing support throughout the semester. We are incredibly proud of everything the students have achieved and the growth they have shown. We wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to seeing our students refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning when we return.
