Hello to all Clayton North Primary families and friends.

The final week of Semester 1 is almost upon us! It is hard to believe that we are at this point already. Term 2 has been full of exciting events with Brainstorm Productions in recent weeks, another example of the enriching learning experiences that are made available to our students at CNPS.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support - Matrix

Across the first semester, our staff and students have been working on updating our SWPBS matrix. Our decision to review and update our matrix has been driven by staff and student feedback on what our three school values 'respect', 'responsibility' and 'resilience' look like at CNPS.

We have high expectations for our students, and developing greater consistency and understanding of what these three values look like in action has led to clearer expectations across our school.

We are proud to share our newly revised SWPBS matrix and encourage you to view and discuss this with your child at home. Please click on the link to view the matrix.

Book Fair

We have had yet another successful Book Fair event at CNPS! The Book Fair truck arrived bright and early on Friday 5th June and was filled with a wide variety of exciting products for our students!

On Tuesday 9th June, students came and had an early look at what was available at the Book Fair before it opened to families that afternoon. Students completed their own 'wish list' after viewing what was on offer and were able to share this with their families.

Thank you to our community for supporting this event once again. We had a total of just over $2,000 in sales with a percentage of this amount being awarded back to the school to purchase resources which can be used in classrooms to support student learning.

A huge thank you must also go to Linda and Josie for operating the Book Fair this year. We look forward to Book Fair returning later this year!

Premiers Reading Challenge

We have 79 days remaining for students to complete the Premier's Reading Challenge. So far, as a school, we have read and verified... 611 books! Congratulations to everyone, we have reached our first goal of 600 books!  Our next goal is to hit 1,000 books read!

Thank you to the families who are supporting their children by reading at home and logging their books on the PRC portal. Holidays are a great time to catch up on some extra reading! If you require another copy of your child's login details, please contact the office.

School photos

Unfortunately, there has been a delay in receiving our 2026 school photos. I have been in communication with the photography company and have requested a further update on their availability. I will provide the community with an update as soon as I have information for you.

Thank you

I want to acknowledge and thank our hard-working teaching and educational support staff for their commitment to student learning and wellbeing across the first half of the year. Please join me in acknowledging their efforts in the final week of the term, when you have the opportunity.

I wish all families a very happy and safe holiday break and look forward to welcoming our students back after a well-earned rest!
