LOTE

Preps
At the start of Term 3, Prep students have continued building their understanding of colours in Indonesian while also expanding their alphabetical vocabulary. It has been wonderful to see more students confidently using a wider range of colour words beyond the primary colours in Indonesian.
Students have also shown significant improvement in their colouring skills and are singing beautifully in Indonesian. In addition, they have begun learning the directional words kiri (left) and kanan (right) through a variety of fun and engaging games, making a positive start to the term.
Grade 1 -6
We began Term 3 with a range of fun and engaging activities, including learning kiri (left) and kanan (right) through interactive games. Students also designed posters inspired by the theme Indonesia Raya (Great Indonesia) in celebration of Indonesian Independence Day. They explored some of the wonderful places and experiences Indonesia has to offer and learnt about at least three types of birds commonly found across the country.
Three types of birds:
'Rangkong' - hornbill
'Cendrawasih' - Bird of paradise
'Cendrawasih Botak' - Wilson bird of paradise
Students have demonstrated fantastic participation, resilience, and curiosity throughout these activities. Keep up the wonderful effort in learning another language, superstars!
