LEAP

What a wonderful start to Term 3 it has been in LEAP. It was so exciting to have the students back and hear about all they did on the holidays. We are also excited to formally introduce to some wonderful new additions to our team.
To support us in the EAL space we have have Rose and Zunte. You may have seen Rose's story in a previous newsletter about her experience as a refugee to Australia. Rose and Zunte are a wonderful asset to our school in supporting not only our EAL students but the families as well. Rose speaks Hakha Chin, Falam and Mizo and Zunte speaks Zomi and Burmese. They are doing an amazing job at translating all our school notices as well as communicating important information.
We would also like to welcome another new addition to our LEAP team. Some of you may have seen Helen around the school as she used to teach at Great Ryrie. She has also been doing CRT work here. Helen comes with a wealth of curriculum knowledge and a passion for literacy and maths. We are very excited to have her as part of our LEAP team and being able to support more students in this space.
