NAIDOC WEEK

NAIDOC Week, is a time to recognise and honour the histories, cultures, achievements, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

NAIDOC Week provides an opportunity for students to learn about and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Australia's First Nations people. 

As a school we acknowledged NAIDOC week last week. The students enjoyed reconnecting with their House Matters groups. They listened to the story Geigi, the Stubborn Boy and then created origami fish together. Year levels also participated in other activities throughout the week that promoted understanding, respect, and reconciliation while celebrating the world's oldest continuing cultures.

The students all did a great job with their fish. They are now proudly displayed in the library.
