Library News

Opening hours are 8am – 5pm, Monday through to Friday during regular school days
70 Years Anniversary
Thanks to a generous donation from the Parents and Friends Association, MGSC has recently digitized videos and school magazines from the archive in anticipation of the 70 Years Anniversary this year. You will find the entire catalogue of yearbooks from 1955 -2024, available to view via the library website here. Videos from the archive, showcasing class photos through the years, building developments and past staff members are now playing on the Library Screen.
Book Club
Our last club for 2025 will be held during Headstart on Wednesday 3rd December. The two books students have selected to read this term are The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Fault in our Stars, both of which are available from the library desk to borrow.
Students are welcome to drop by the library or email library@mgsc.vic.edu.au at any time with details of their name and class to join.
VCE Exams and SACs
Best wishes to our VCE students for their upcoming exams. There are many suitable books to borrow during the holidays, with subject matter across the curriculum for VCE students to wanting to extend their learning and outcomes. Please come and see me in the library for reading recommendations.
This is a reminder to students and parents that the library has book binding materials and is able to assist students with their bound references.
Lunchtime Clubs in the Library
There is something for everyone here. Clubs meet every week in the library Seminar Room at lunchtime to create, learn, relax, share ideas and play. All students are welcome.
The Library Team
The feature photo is of Year 12 student Lara Guevara who made a bookshop diorama for the library.
