🌟P&C EXECUTIVE TEAM UPDATE - CASUAL VACANCY🌟

 

Join the Executive 

There is currently a casual vacancy for the position of Vice President on the P&C Executive Committee. 

 

Renuka Awadalla, our current President, has also advised the school community of her intention to step down from the role of P&C President at the November AGM.

 

If you are interested in either of these positions, or would simply like to find out more about what the roles involve, please reach out to any member of the Executive Committee for an informal chat. We’d love to hear from anyone within our school community who may be interested in getting involved and helping support our school and families.

 

President

  • Chairing of P&C Association meetings
  • Ensuring the P&C Association's objectives are met
  • Ensuring that the P&C Association takes part in decision-making processes in the school
  • Setting up lines of communication with the Principal and establishing a positive and constructive relationship with the school
  • Establishing a positive relationship with the school
  • Creating a welcoming environment and fostering fair participation
  • Setting agendas
  • Adherence to the constitution, by-laws, rules, policies and procedures
  • Acting as the P&C Association's spokesperson
  • Being a signatory on the P&C Association's bank accounts

 

Vice Presidents

  • Backup chairperson
  • Supporting the president, secretary and treasurer in their roles
  • Shadowing the treasurer and secretary to act as a back-up
  • Often assigned oversight of key operations, e.g. canteen, uniform shop, WWCC
  • Signatory to P&C Association bank accounts.

Suggested voluntary contribution

To recognise that older students have already benefited from previous fundraising initiatives, we suggest:

  • $100 – Early Stage 1 & Stage 1 (Years K–2)
  • $80 – Stage 2 (Years 3–4)
  • $60 – Stage 3 (Years 5–6)

School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) interview panel parent representative. 

Thank you to Emma G for expressing interest in being the parent representative on the interview panel for our new SLSO. We know you’ll be great in choosing the next great addition to the staffing team.

Father’s Day 

Roselea P&C would like to say a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteers who helped make our Father’s Day celebrations such a success! These combined events raised a profit of approximately $1,280 for our school community.

COMMUNITY EVENTS AGREEMENT

Events rely on community support to make them happen. We need at least 80% of required volunteer shifts filled 3 weeks prior to an event in order to keep it alive.

 

By sharing the load, we can continue to provide the fantastic events and experiences our school community enjoys.

GENERAL MEETING

 

Date: Monday 26 October at 7:30pm - Please note, no September meeting due to the school holidays. 

 

Location: Online TBC

 

All families are welcome to attend and hear about what is happening in our school community. In the event a quorum of 10 cannot be met, our meeting will be cancelled and rescheduled. 

 

Want to have your vote count? Don’t forget to become a P&C member for just 50c via Qkr! Please note that voting rights take effect at the close of the next meeting after joining.

Roselea PS Dance Groups Selected for Granny Smith Festival 2026! 

We are delighted to announce that our Roselea Public School After School Dance Groups have been selected to perform at the Granny Smith Festival 2026!

 

This is a wonderful opportunity for our talented dancers to showcase their skills and represent our school community at this exciting local event.

 

Save the Date: Saturday 17 October 2026.  More information, including performance times and arrangements, will be shared closer to the event.
